NFT test window for new registered basketball officials to be held Nov 15-28

The testing date window for the National Federation Test for all new registered officials in basketball, as well as those needing to upgrade to Certified or Master will be November 15- 28.  The test must be taken online at the MOA Arbiter website, and detailed instructions can be obtained from the MOA Coordinator at the offices of the Montana High School Association.  Any individuals interested in becoming a basketball official may also register and pay their dues online at

Officials must have the MOA Rules Clinics in Basketball viewed by November 28 to receive credit.  All officials must also individually complete the National Federation Learn Concussion in Sports course by logging on to  This must be completed prior to working any contest (regular, pre-season, Jr. High, or scrimmage) and should be done so immediately.

The first meeting for the Central Montana Basketball Officials will be MondayNovember22

at 7:00 p.m. at Fergus High School.  There is always a need for basketball officials in the area.  It is an ideal way for any interested person to not only have a positive influence on high school athletics, but also a way to give back to the community and the sport.  Any prospective officials interested in officiating basketball for the 2021-2022 season are encouraged to contact Troy Hudson at 350-1476 or Scott Buckentin at 350-2940
